Assistant Public Works Director

Responsible for managing, administering and supervising the planning, coordination, and scheduling of maintenance and construction activities for City transportation infrastructure and related assets, including roads, shoulders, stormwater drainage systems, City-owned rights-of-way and easements, reclaimed and potable water systems, wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution networks etc.

Building Official

The City of New Port Richey, FL is seeking a fulltime Building Official for our Planning & Development Department.

Equipment Operator II

Performs work of more than ordinary difficulty in the operation of medium to heavy equipment. Performs manual labor. Duties include lead work responsibility. Additional semi-skilled work to varying degrees of skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water distribution, reclaimed water distribution, sewage collection systems and stormwater utility systems may also be required.

Financial Analyst

Under general direction, the Financial Analyst performs advanced professional financial analysis, budget development, forecasting, and reporting functions for the City. This position is responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring departmental budgets, evaluating revenue and expenditure trends, and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives.

Firefighter EMT/Paramedic - Full Time

Full-Time professional firefighter whose general responsibilities include but are not limited to; fire suppression, rescue, medical care – BLS and ALS procedures per medical protocols, protection of life and property, fire prevention initiatives, community risk reduction, disaster preparedness and response, and the maintenance of equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Lifeguard I

This is a temporary seasonal position responsible for the safety of all aquatic facility patrons. This job involves preventing injuries, communication with patrons, enforcing rules and regulations, performing safety checks, and responding to emergency situations correctly. Some light ground and facility maintenance is required. Must be in good physical condition and capable of mature judgement.

Employees in this class perform a wide variety of manual laboring tasks including the operation of construction equipment in connection with the construction and maintenance of the utility systems.

Semi-skilled work to varying degrees of skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water distribution, reclaimed water distribution and sewage collection systems may also be required. Employees in this class perform a wide variety of manual laboring tasks including the operation of construction equipment in connection with the construction and maintenance of the utility systems.
