Pasco County Urges Water Conservation

Pasco County is urging everyone to conserve water and follow watering guidelines to protect our water resources as our dry conditions continue. The Southwest Florida Water Management District has declared a Phase 1 Moderate Water Shortage through July 1, 2026.
Water Restrictions Using Potable, Well, or Surface Water
Watering is only permitted between 6 p.m. - 8 a.m.
Irrigation of established lawns and landscaping is authorized for one day per week per Pasco County Ordinance Ch. 62, Article II., Division 3.
If your house number ends in: Then you may only water on:
0 or 1 Monday
2 or 3 Tuesday
4 or 5 Wednesday
6 or 7 Thursday
8 or 9 Friday
Mixed Address or No Address Friday
Non-Watering Days Saturday and Sunday

Watering is only permitted between midnight - 8 a.m.
If your house number ends in: Then you may only water on:
0 or 1 Monday
2 or 3 Tuesday
4 or 5 Wednesday
6 or 7 Thursday
8 or 9 Friday

Non-Watering Days Saturday and Sunday
Residential Car Washing - Fountain Operation
The washing of non-business, personal vehicles (including trailers and motorhomes) shall be conducted only once per week.
Decorative water fountains and features, are not allowed unless they provide a necessary aeration and/or water quality benefit. Decorative water fountains or features using reclaimed water is allowed; however, a sign stating "using reclaimed water" must be posted next to the water fountain or feature.
Establishment of New Landscape Material
New landscape material may be watered for a 60-day establishment period with these allowances:
Watering is permitted between 6 p.m. - 8 a.m.
From day 1 to day 30, new landscape material may be watered any day of the week, regardless of source.
From day 31 to day 60, new landscape material may be watered 3 days each week, according to the schedule below.
An entire irrigation zone may be used only if the zone being watered contains 50% or more new landscape material.
Partial zones or dispersed plantings may only be watered by hose but not with automatic irrigation.
On the day of installation, new turf or landscape material may be irrigated at any time of day; however, irrigation during permitted hours is preferred.

1,3,5,7 or 9 Monday, Wednesday and Sunday
0,2,4,6 or 8 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Establishment using Reclaimed Water (Days 31-60)
You may only water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between midnight - 8 a.m.
Homeowners in locations where irrigation is HOA-managed should contact their association for assistance with establishment irrigation scheduling.
