Marine Parkway Night Closures Scheduled

Marine Parkway will be closed during the evening hours of Monday, August 4th and Tuesday, August 5th as part of the City’s Street Improvement Project. The work will include milling, paving, and restriping resulting in traffic pattern changes. 

Closure Details:

• Monday, August 4 (night): Milling from Gemstone Drive to US-19 and US-19 to Grand Boulevard

• Tuesday, August 5 (night): Paving in the same areas

Detours will be in place both nights. Flaggers will assist with traffic. Please plan for delays and use alternate routes if possible. After final striping and signage are completed, the Marine Parkway & US-19 intersection will be officially opened for golf cart crossing. This is part of the City’s efforts to expand safe and legal golf cart access across key corridors. The Gulf Drive & US-19 golf cart crossing was fully approved and opened to carts in July 2023. The Marine Parkway crossing received conditional approval from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), pending required traffic pattern modifications. Once the road work is complete, the road conditions will be met, and the crossing will be permitted for golf cart use.
