Chasco Fiesta

First celebrated in 1922, Chasco Fiesta began as a community celebration to raise funds for the local library. Inspired by Florida’s Native American heritage and the beauty of the Pithlachascotee River, the festival introduced the legendary characters King Pithla and Queen Chasco—traditions that continue more than a century later.

Today, Chasco Fiesta is a nine-day celebration featuring live music, cultural events, a carnival, street parade, boat parade, car shows, and family-friendly activities throughout Sims Park and Downtown New Port Richey. Hosted by the Chasco Fiesta nonprofit organization, the festival continues its legacy of giving by supporting local charities and bringing the community together each year.

This year's event takes place March 20th to March 28th, and here are the major event dates. 

March 20th at 5:00 p.m. to March 28th at 10:00 p.m.

Flagship Bank Chasco Fiesta™ Boat Parade
Presented by Flagship Bank Hosted by the Rotary Club of New Port Richey Spectators Welcome!The Flagship Bank Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade™ is free to watch from Sims Park, and park entry is FREE until 4:00 PM on parade day.

Saturday, March 28th, 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Chasco Fiesta Presents: Country Stage Concert
The evening features a special stage dedication honoring Johnny and June Carter Cash, with John Carter Cash present on behalf of the Cash family for a commemorative tribute and performance. This meaningful moment celebrates the enduring impact of one of country music’s most iconic families. Also taking the stage is rising country artist Cassidy Daniels, delivering a high-energy closing performance, along with opening act Clint Byron to kick off the night.
