This special event brings together city leaders, environmental advocates, students, and residents to honor the vital role trees play in our community and our planet.
Event Highlights Include:

 

�� Arbor Day Proclamation
�� “Trees of the Future” – Arbor Day Address by Dell deChant, Environmental Committee
�� Presentation by 4th grade students from Genesis School and their teacher, Louisa Jaenichen
�� Students helping plant new trees
�� Ceremonial drumming honoring all trees by Amanda Zborek
�� Concluding remarks and songs

 

We are proud to welcome members of City Council, City staff, the Environmental Committee, Genesis School teachers and students, FarmNet participants, Keep Pasco Beautiful, and community partners.

 

�� 2026 marks the 37th year of Arbor Day celebrations in New Port Richey. Thanks to decades of dedication, our city is a National Arbor Day Foundation “Tree City USA” and a recognized leader in urban ecological regeneration.
As deforestation continues worldwide, urban reforestation has never been more important. Since 1989, New Port Richey has been committed to planting and protecting trees that enhance quality of life, strengthen our ecosystem, and help combat climate change.
