Construction Begins on 2023-2024 Street Improvement Project

The City of City of New Port Richey is pleased to announce that construction for the 2023–2024 Street Improvement Project officially begins today on Pennsylvania Avenue, with work continuing south through the neighborhood according to the scheduled street improvements. This significant infrastructure initiative reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing the roadway conditions for the safety, mobility, and convenience of residents and visitors. 

 

This year’s paving schedule includes the following streets:

• Pennsylvania Avenue – from Madison Street to Congress Street

• Central Avenue – from Madison Street to Harrison Street

• Florida Avenue – from Madison Street to Harrison Street

• Polk Street – from Old Main Street to Indiana Avenue

• Harrison Street – from Old Main Street to Indiana Avenue

• Grand Boulevard – from Sims Lane to Broadway Avenue

• Marine Parkway – from Gemstone Drive to US19 & from US19 to Grand Boulevard

 

Construction crews will be working diligently to minimize disruptions throughout the project. Traffic control measures will be in place to ensure public safety. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, follow detour signage, and exercise caution when traveling near active work zones.
