GIS Maps and Data

Geographic Information System

The city maintains a Geographic Information System (GIS) to store, analyze, and display geographic information. Often referred to as "smart maps," GIS has the ability to link information to geographic features and map the data in independent layers or in combination with other data layers.

The New Port Richey GIS Open Data Portal provides residents, visitors, business owners and investors a means to easily find, access and view information through the use of maps and mapping technology. The city's ArcGIS Data Hub has several data layers including parcels, recent and historical aerial photographs, floodplains, wetlands, future land use designations, and zoning districts among others. The information is used for a wide range of City functions but is particularly valuable for planning and development review.
