The City of New Port Richey will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its Parking Structure Project on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 9:15 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the project location at U.S. Highway 19 and Main Street behind the new Keiser University building. Parking for the event will be available at the former church building located at 6131 River Road, New Port Richey. The City Council approved the $6.5 million dollar project back in November 2020. Construction of the structure is estimated to be completed by June 2021. The parking structure will contain three parking levels for a total of 354 spaces including several for electric vehicles. “The parking structure will be a great asset to the city once events return to the downtown and for the faculty and staff of Keiser University,” said City Manager Debbie L. Manns. The design of the parking structure was created by Fisher Architects with the construction being completed by Kokolakis Contracting.
