Earlier this week Governor Ron DeSantis and other health officials called for residents to avoid mass gatherings due to the threat of the COVID-19 virus. After careful consideration the City feels that it is in the best interest of our first responders, city staff and the residents of New Port Richey to postpone the upcoming Chasco Fiesta until such a time as the virus poses no immediate health risks. Please note that this decision was not made in haste as the City fully understands the long standing tradition that the Chasco Fiesta plays in our community. However, at this time, the City feels that it is just too much of a public health risk to move forward with such a large event. Please contact the Chasco Fiesta directly at regarding questions about tickets that have already been purchased for the event.
