SALARY: $94,500 – $102,000 DOQ


The City of New Port Richey is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Technology and Innovation Director to serve in a key role on the city’s leadership team and to lead the technology functions within the city’s operations.  Known for its cultural heritage and unique riverfront landscape, the City of New Port Richey is largely a residential community with a strong local government and an attractive historical downtown with a broad array of business and retail services.  The city is located in Florida’s Central Gulf Coast, approximately thirty miles northwest of Tampa.  The Gulf of Mexico coastline borders the west side and the Pithlachascotee River runs through the city.  The City has a total area of 4.6 square miles and has approximately 17,000 residents, which makes the City the largest in the County.

Under the direct supervision of the City Manager, the Director will be responsible to perform a wide variety of complex technical as well as administrative tasks managing all aspects of the department operations to include the development of new technical solutions as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development. In addition, the new Director will be tasked to improve the external and internal user experience on the city’s information technology system.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Management Information Services, Computer Science or a closely related field, with a Master’s Degree being preferred. Candidates should have at least eight years of progressively responsible experience managing information technology systems in a Windows environment, including five years of experience in a supervisory capacity.  The City of New Port Richey is offering a competitive salary and benefit package in order to secure the appropriate candidate.  The annual salary range for the position is $94,500 to $102,000 DOQ and experience.
