Police Chief Kim Bogart
Kim Bogart was appointed Chief of Police of the New Port Richey Police Department on March 20, 2013. He started his 35+ year law enforcement career at the Tampa Police Department after moving to Florida from upstate New York. Throughout his career, Chief Bogart served with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office and the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office. For 13 years he served as the Executive Director of the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission, Inc., and was the Interim Jail Administrator for the Osceola County Jail.
Chief Bogart has a Master's Degree in Business Administration, is a Dean's List graduate of the University of Louisville's Southern Police Institute Administrative Officers Course, and completed a Leadership for Strategic Execution Course at Stanford University.
Chief Bogart is an ardent supporter of his community. He actively serves on numerous community service organization boards and volunteers for many community non-profits in Pasco County.
